Along the Dinosaur Trail are these 9 million year old tracks of some of our amphibian ancestors.  They are officially
known as "prehistoric verterbrate animals of the Permian Period"
Butterflies are Free ...
and espied from inside the Wildlife Viewing Blind.  These
beauties were photographed there by Jim Miller.
They are, according to  Jim, Hackberry Emperor and
Pipevine.  

The Wildlife Viewing Blind is open to park visitors at all
times.  A little house has bench seating behind glass
windows opening on he water feature and bird feeders and
native landscaping.    To visit, enter South shore gate and
proceed about .3 mile to the sing and gravel road on the
right (Opposite the playground.).Parking at the blind for
handicapped visitors.  Others are encouraged to take the
short walk to the site.
