Mar. 6 Prehistoric Permian Tracks Tour – Go back in time on this two-mile hike to see
tracks left by prehistoric vertebrate animals. Meet at South Shore Gate House 10:00
Mar. 13-14 West Texas Challenge Event - Competitive event for Geocachers.

March 20 Birding Adventure - Bob Zeller, wildlife photographer and birder, will help
you discover birds in the park. Meet at South Shore Gate House 9:00 A.M. Binoculars are
provided or bring your own. Cameras and spotting scopes are encouraged
Mar. 27-28 Cowboy Celebration Trail Ride – Two day celebration of the American
Cowboy with chuck wagon dinner and breakfast, cowboy church, gunfights, live auction
and more. Trail riders will explore remote area of the park on Saturday. Sunday morning
ride will explore North Shore trails. Public is invited to attend cowboy church Chuck Wagon
meals. See p.3 or call 896-2056 for information. For meals only reservation, call 651-7346
April 3 Bison Seminar - Park Naturalist informs you on the history and other facts
about the Bison of San Angelo State Park. Enter through the South Shore gate house
before proceeding to the Bison pens. Start time is 10:00 a.m.
April 10 Birding Adventure - Bob Zeller, wildlife photographer and birder, will help you
discover birds in the park. Meet at South Shore Gate House 9:00 A.M. Binoculars are
provided or bring your own. Cameras and spotting scopes are encouraged
April 21 Silver Bluebonnet Day – Tours, entertainment and free picnic lunch for senior
citizens. Free entry to park. Chaparral Pavilion, South Shore 8:00 a.m.- 1:00 p.m.

May 1 Free Day in the Park – Fifteenth Anniversary Celebration
