Entrance fee for day visitors to SASP has been increased from two dollars to three dollars per person.. The
fee increase was mandated by Texas Parks and Wildlife Department.
Children under the age of twelve are free. Texas residents over 65 pay two dollars. Any person born before
August 31, 1930, is admitted free of charge.
Campsite and cabins rentals were not increased. Campsites with water and electricity are eighteen dollars,
primitive sites are eight dollars. Campsite occupants will be charged two dollars for each person in excess of
eight. Cabin fees are $47 for six person plus $5 for each additional person.
The Texas State Parks Pass admits the holder and everyone in his vehicle to any of 115 parks and historic
sites. The pass costs $60 per year. The TSSP can be purchased at either gatehouse at SASP. Pass holders
also receive exciting "members only" discounts on camping, lodging, park store merchandise and
recreational equipment rentals and are eligible for special promotions like waived activity fees, free programs,
and a special subscription rate for the Texas Parks & Wildlife magazine.
