Angelo RC, Inc. is a recently incorporated charitable non-profit Texas Corporation. The group, formerly
known as Angelo RC Club, is made up of hobbyists who fly radio-controlled minature aircraft. Their flying field
is adjacent to SASP on Mercedes Street.
In the last quarter of 2006 the organization cleared over 60 areas of mesquite and cactus just below the
spillway at the State Park. Plans are to continue eradicating non-native vegetation and plant native grasses
in that area to help control runoff and erosion.
The Organization also is planning a series of educational programs on model radio controlled aeronautics in
the public schools according to their Board President David Wood. February 10th and 11th the
organization will host the first ever Texas Indoor New Year (TINY) Fly-in in the San Angelo Coliseum. Check
